The resort boasts one to four bedroom air-conditioned accommodations, all with a real wood burning fireplace. YOu'll find double Jacuzzi cottages for romantic getaways and large three and four bedroom suites for groups.

Meals at the Halimar are a delight. A delicious hot breakfast and a 3-course à la carte dinner are served daily. Special arrangements can be made for theme dinners or barbecues. Lunch can also be served in the dining room or sandwich luncheons can be delivered to your cottage. We do our best to accommodate any special dietary needs, vegetarians and allergies. Our Executive Chef prepares the menu using fresh ingredients and presents modern cuisine with panache.

There is always plenty to do with extensive on and off site recreational facilities. Waterfront activities, volleyball games, hiking, tennis, are some of what is included. Golf tournaments, horse-drawn sleigh rides, dog sledding, are some of what is available at an extra cost.

The Halimar Resort offers a variety of gift certificates for any occasion. They can be purchased for use in our fabulous lakeside dining room, a spa service, accommodation and packages. They all make perfect gifts. Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, whatever the reason, a gift certificate is the answer. The value of such a gift is always extraordinary, but the amount is up to you. Spa services can be included on any option. Halimar works with the "travelling angels", a group of technicians that provide the spa service in the privacy of your own cottage. Visit the studios of Haliburton County artists while enjoying the beauty of the Highlands from your bike. With two experienced, local guides, this fully supported cycling tour will take you on a breathtaking (literally!) adventure along scenic back roads and through small villages and hamlets. With regular stops to visit local art studios, talk to the artist or watch demonstrations. Original works of art will be on display for show and sale. Three different tours are available.
